Byron Olson is a musical composer, arranger, orchestrator, conductor, and pianist.He has worked with and/or penned arrangements for internationally renowned artists including; Johnny Mathis, Jack Jones, Gloria Estefan, Bernadette Peters, Perry Como, Quincy Jones, Peggy Lee, Carmen McRae, Joe Lovano, Linda Eder, Ramsey Lewis, and Dawn Upshaw.

He’s written for the London Symphony Orchestra, Placido Domingo, The Canadian Brass, choral music for The American Boy Choir, The St. Olaf Choir, The Ambrosian Singers, and the Moses Hogan Choral. He composed a jazz piano concerto for pianist Mike Lang and The American Jazz Philharmonic. He has written themes and logos for the AMC and Comedy Central networks.

Olson has received a Grammy Nomination for Best Arrangement Accompanying a Vocalist for his work with Benard Ighner on the song “Everything Must Change”.

He has recorded five of his own albums for the Manhattan and Angel/EMI Record labels. What he hears when he’s working comes out on paper with an immense passion and becomes music filled with a glorious spectrum of colors.
